About us

Our logo
This logo was created for our parish, and was accepted by our people. The red flash behind the cross symbolises the shedding of Christ’s blood and our salvation breaking through at the crucifixion. The darkness of the cross symbolises the darkness and ugliness of sin that Christ died for, and the dove is a symbol of peace, hope and healing. Over the last few years we have discerned that our Church has become a place of healing for many people. At every service we pray for people and there is on going counselling. We have developed a core of counsellors who have been trained and they have done sterling work in this area. It was out of this that our logo was created to say something about our church’s ministry and points to the grace and unconditional love of God for us all.

Worship
We have a lively and strong music ministry that combines our liturgy with contemporary music. Every alternate Sunday Worship service is a praise and worship service. We have two music groups who alternate in leading us in worship. We are a family orientated church where children are not just tolerated but welcomed.

Prayers and the Word
Every Church believes that they are called by God for a reason. We believe that our calling is to administer God’s love to those who need healing through the ministry of counselling and through the power of prayer. The anointing of the Holy Spirit upon our preaching and teaching of the Holy Scriptures is critical to our success. At every service a time is set aside for ministry and prayer for those who have needs. Prayer groups meet regularly during the week for prayer.
